Pathways Care consortium comprises of a group of residential and day activity facilities for people with learning disabilities situated in and around the historical town of Colchester, in the north east of Essex. The consortium was founded eighteen years ago with the principle aim of pooling al available expertise and recourses to ensure that the highest possible standard of care is provided to every person who uses our service.
Registered care providers who lead the consortium have professional qualifications and many years of experience in health and social care provision as well as expertise in management at senior levels.
The range of residential facilities include single occupancy supported living homes to purpose built bungalows that are designed to accommodate those with severe physical disabilities. A dedicated team of staff at the pathways day centre provide a variety of enjoyable, stimulating and enabling educational and leisure activities for service users.
Pathways Care Consortium is particularly proud of its record on staff training and development. To this end we have appointed a trainer/ training coordinator who ensures that all staff receive up to date training in all aspects of care, so that they have the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to meet the changing needs of the service users. In addition to the in house training, the consortium also has its own traing facility with up to date training equipment.
